The Clay Cottage offers several regular programs especially for kids. These programs are designed to spark the imagination and foster a love of art and creation.
Story Time
Looking for a fun afternoon activity with the littles in your life? Join us for Story Time! Week day afternoons from 12:00 - 1:30 the Clay Cottage staff will entertain your little ones with a short story followed by painting the bisque piece of their choice from a small selection items based on the story of the day. $15.00 per participant, all ages welcome. Homeschool Art
The beauty of homeschooling your kids is the opportunity to enrich their education with content public schools often can't provide. The Clay Cottage staff would love to add to that content with Homeschool Art. Bring your elementary age homeschoolers in for some hands on education in clay or glass. Each Friday from 2:00 - 3:30 we'll teach a different clay or glass project (glass participants must be at least 8 years old). $20.00 per participant, all materials and firings included. Scout Badges
Get your troop or post badged up! The clay cottage will help your group meet their badge requirements in clay, glass, paint and related crafting arts. Bring your specific badge requirements to speak with a member of our staff to determine if more than one session will be required to meet your goals. $35.00 per participant per 2 hour session. All materials and firings included.
Studio Hours
Walk in any time to paint your own pottery, create a clay hand building piece, or glass fusion project .
Plan on at least 90 minutes to create for PYOP or glass and 3 hours for clay.
